I systematically create a translation memory and terminology database for each client to ensure consistency. Where there is an in-country contact available, I like to suggest putting together a glossary for approval by your French expert contact, prior to delivery of translations.

The software I use includes computer-assisted translation tools (SDLX Trados 2007, SDL Trados Studio 2009 and MemoQ), Microsoft Office 2007 and Adobe Standard (for marking up PDF proofs).

When nothing but direct contact in French will do. I make your telephone calls on your behalf and report back to you. Individuals who have bought a property in France find this service particularly useful and effective!
